So, what's Kiokatt?
Hi, I'm Jen, the owner and person behind Kiokatt. Let me take you back to 12-year-old me. It was the AOL era, and I needed a screen name — and it was always going to have "cat" in it. The question was what came before it. So I started making sounds (^.^), trying to capture that burst of a happy, energetic cat noise — and kio just came out. Thus, Kiokatt was born!
That name followed me online for years. Through usernames, handles, even a stint streaming. I always kept it a little polished — something I could grow into. Ends up, 12-year-old me knew what she was doing.
Why Kiokatt Became a Brand
When my mother passed away, I found myself asking a question I hadn't expected: What do I want to leave behind?
The answer surprised me with how simple it was. I wanted to leave behind joy — the kind of joy that cat lovers know when their cat is dressed in something ridiculous and adorable, or when they pull on a hoodie covered in kawaii cat energy and it just makes their day a little better.
Kiokatt is that. A legacy built on something I've loved since I was 12.
